JM has been maintaining my slate roof for seven years. When I call for my annual service, the owner answers the phone - no menus to navigate, no leaving messages, no phone tag - just a quick
discussion of what needs to be done. The workmen (the owner's sons) show up when scheduled, and work until the project is finished. They are personable and respectful, always leaving the property clean and neat before leaving. In addition to the slate work, they have replaced skylights and copper chimney flashing. JM arranged for chimney repointing and waterproofing, as well as soffit and fascia replacement. JM meets my very high standards for home repairs. I would highly
recommend them!

We were very satisfied with J&M Roofing and the repairs they did on our storm-damaged roof, much of which was old slate, which can be a little tricky to work with. They were efficient, reasonable, and got the work done in a timely manner, even during the winter months. Their post-job cleanup was so thorough, we didn't even know they were there. Highly recommended!

I highly recommend J & M Roofing and have been using them for over 10 years. They have always done excellent work on several of our buildings, which included repairs and replacements for a variety of roof types- tile, flat, shingle and flat rubber roof tops. They are efficient, do the work in a timely manner and leave a tidy job site.

When we moved into our home over twenty years ago, we loved having a beautiful tile roof. However, we had never had one before and had no idea what was involved to take care of it. When we got in touch with J&M roofing that problem was solved. J&M came and fixed a couple of leaks. They purchased extra tiles so we would have some extra on hand in case we needed them quickly. They check out the roof on a regular basis. J&M roofers are very professional and I would definitely recommend them.

My husband and I are so happy with the results of our replacement roof. They were professional, quick, and well-experienced, as we had a combination of half rubber/half shingle roof. It was very hard to find a local contractor with a reasonable price that is familiar with this.

"By accident we meet" is a phrase that I think of when my husband and I met Greg Carlton of J & M Roofing. We had a damaged gutter and filed an insurance claim in 2014. We were so satisfied with his work that he is our go to roofer. He replaced the roof on the back of the house, we call him to inspect our slate roof and last year 2021 he replaced the roof on the other side of our duplex. We would not use anyone else!

Working with our company for at least 10 years and the quality and speed at which Greg and his workers respond is excellent. Reasonably priced. Great company to do business with. Honest and trustworthy.

We can not say enough good things about this company. A small family business that is run by the father, who is extremely knowledgeable and responsive day and night, with the roofing done by his two sons and their crew. We started out wanting our garage roof done due to hail damage. They came and inspected the roof and took pictures to submit to insurance. Then they went up on the
slate roof of our historic farmhouse on their own and discovered and documented the hail damage on the original slate roof. They then contacted our insurance company and submitted the documentation and our replacement slate roof was covered by insurance along with the garage roof.
Phenomenal!!! This all took them a lot of time and phone calls/letters to get this done. Don't hesitate to use them!

Wonderful!!! They installed 2 roofs for me. One was a very large project and looks amazing. Courteous, on time, thoroughly cleaned up when they were done. Will use them in 2022 for other projects.

Got my roof done by this family business. They did fantastic work. My roof leaked and was very old. They got the whole thing done in one day and cleaned up when they got done. No more leaks and my house is holding heat better too. Thanks guys for a job well done!!

I contracted j&m roofing to replace a huge roof on the sanctuary of our church. Their price was way better than some of the other estimates that I received, and they were by far the most appealing choice. The communication was very good, Greg and his sons were experts at their craft and I felt very confident trusting the work to them. They will now be the company that I refer any roofing work to, because I'm a contractor myself, and people ask me for recommendations all the time. J&M will be our roofer for as long as we live in this area. Our 110 year old, very steep third floor slate roof needed significant attention. Leaking at the hips with many missing and broken tiles. Everyone else told us to do a full replacement. This highly experienced roofing family gave us a great alternative without a complete replacement saving us $12k. They communicated with us in a timely manner every step of the way. They did the work while we were out of town with family. No plants were harmed (we have 35 year old climbing roses). They sent us pictures of everything that was done. Clean up was so good we hardly knew they had been here. The result is we get to keep our slate roof and there is no telling how long it will last with just routine care. Need slate work done? These are the pros. Thank you J&M.

I can't say enough positive things about Greg and his team. I have been blessed to have found his company to replace my roof after the 2019 hail storm in the valley. I had other people (storm chasers) stop by to offer inspections but my gut told me to call my Insurance agent for a reputable company. I was connected with Greg from J&M Roofing. And, when I tell you that Greg understands the business, works with integrity, and treats everyone with care and respect, I'm making an understatement. Greg truly takes customer care to a whole new level. He walked me through the entire process from filing the claim to installation so that I'd know what to expect and when. Once my claim was approved, we were entering the winter months. I knew that it was not a good idea to install a roof during the winter. And, guess what, Greg explained just what I was hoping for; He explained that due to the fact that I had no leaks, we would wait until Spring to do the job because that would be better for the installation. When Spring came, so did the Pandemic and the work couldn't be started. Greg did call to let me know that we'd have to wait for the "stay at home" orders to be lifted. It wasn't Greg's fault but He was in touch several times to assure me that as soon as he was able to get back to work, I'd be placed on the schedule. When the time came, everything was just as Greg said it would be. The crew came on time, treated my property well, and replaced my roof and gutters as contracted. I have been using J&M Roofing exclusively since 2010. They have done everything from small patches to major replacement involving shingle, rubber and slate for all my rental properties. Greg is responsive and the quotes are reasonable. They show up when scheduled, update me while working, finish the job to completion and thoroughly clean up all while providing before, during and after

We had our roof, gutters, fascia and soffit done. We are very pleased with all the work that was done. Very pleasant to work with and all the guys were very friendly and answered any questions we had. Cleaned up all materials that were left and left the property very clean. Work was accomplished in a timely manner and not overly expensive. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing work done.

J & M has been great. We lost shingles in a recent storm and had water coming in the house. They were the only local contractor to not only respond right away, but to make the repairs same day. Our roof is slate, and they are clearly experienced and knowledgeable. Will be looking to them for our slate roof needs going forward.

I have used J&M Roofing for the past 10+ years as they are real quick in responding and taking care of any necessary work that needs to be done. I just had my back roof replaced from slate to asphalt shingles - the work was completed in a day and they did an excellent job. I highly recommend J & M Roofing company. The generations of skill and experience gave me confidence as evidenced by Greg's ability to diagnose what probably happened over the phone and with the one picture I texted him, and then his sons were able to verify this was the case and come up with a solution that solved my problem correctly. I live in a twin and my neighbor put on a new roof without telling me. Shortly afterward, water started pouring in my kitchen ceiling. Through word of mouth, I heard about J & M, and I called Greg. Greg asked questions, calmed me down and due to the coming rain made it a point to get out to my house right away. He made me feel my problem was his problem. His sons Jamie and Mike showed up, and literally diagnosed what the other roofer had done wrong and fixed my roof in a little over an hour.

Why I highly recommend them: they were knowledgeable, had excellent diagnostic skills, were generous and went above the job requirements, (fixing a missing bracket on the gutter unrelated to the job for no extra charge,) and above all, this company is HONEST. They looked carefully at my roof and said this can be fixed!!!!
